OpenAI has expressed its readiness to expand cooperation with Armenia in the field of education. Company representatives discussed with the leadership of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport participation in research, teacher training, and the development of approaches to using artificial intelligence in the educational system.

OpenAI also plans to support the development of research competencies of Armenian universities and other educational organizations. One of the areas of cooperation will be the evaluation of the practical application of AI tools in schools and universities.

As part of an already active pilot program, educational institutions in Armenia have received about 50,000 subscriptions to ChatGPT Edu and Codex. In the 2026–2027 academic year, access funding is provided by Firebird.

After evaluating the results of the pilot project, the possibility of state funding for the program will be considered.
