The Yandex Maps mobile application for users in Armenia has introduced a real-time geolocation broadcasting function. It allows users to share their current location with friends and relatives to meet faster in the city, navigate unfamiliar places, and not get lost during trips.

You can share your geolocation via your own marker on the map or the 'Geolocation' section in the profile menu. The recipient will see the user's location directly on the map and can immediately build a route to them. This function will be useful, for example, when meeting at shopping centers, Republic Square, the Cascade, the airport, or during travels.

You can also share your location from a screenshot of the map area where the user is located. After the broadcast stops, the marker will automatically disappear from the maps of those to whom the geolocation was sent. The new feature is available to authorized users in Armenia on iOS and Android devices.
