Armenian and Georgian companies are implementing AI to accelerate software development, document processing, meeting report preparation, recruitment, and customer service, according to an October World Bank report. Meanwhile, companies specializing in artificial intelligence are already creating new products — from financial statement analysis to voice services, call center analytics, and virtual clothing try-on applications.
The main difference lies in who uses the new technologies. In Georgia, some employees without professional software development experience are already creating websites, applications, and analytical tools with the help of AI. In Armenia, this possibility is still primarily considered a prospect for further development.
The World Bank describes the Armenian market as divided into two groups: a small number of companies integrate AI into their core products, while others limit themselves to experiments and individual use. In both countries, specialists in professions most affected by AI typically have above-average digital skills. However, the most severe shortage of such skills is observed among workers whose professions are vulnerable to traditional computerization.
