Over the past five years, Armenia's economy has grown by an average of 8.5% annually, while inflation was around 3.5%. These figures were provided by Martin Galstyan, Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, in a Raiffeisen Bank podcast.
According to the head of the Central Bank, moderate inflation was maintained thanks to a consistent policy of curbing price growth. Galstyan emphasized that price stability remained one of the key benchmarks of the country's economic policy.
He also noted that Armenia is now classified as an upper-middle-income country. For comparison, about 30 years ago, the country's per capita income was only $100–200.
