Ucom Connected Technologies to Environmental Protection in Armenia

The telecom operator develops environmental projects and plans to reduce head office emissions by 2036.

Ucom CEO Ralf Yirikian participated in two discussions at the COP17 conference in Yerevan, dedicated to corporate environmental responsibility and the use of telecommunication technologies for nature protection. The company presented initiatives aimed at preserving biodiversity and protecting natural areas in Armenia.

As part of its cooperation with the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC), Ucom provides internet connectivity for animal surveillance cameras and thermal imaging equipment. These systems help specialists monitor the state of ecosystems, timely detect potential fire threats, and control protected areas.
