Yerevan became a fintech hub: AI, cryptocurrencies and digital banks discussed at FINTECH360

About 500 participants from more than 30 countries attended the international FINTECH360 conference

The international FINTECH360 conference, organized with the support of Unibank, was held in Yerevan. The event gathered about 500 participants from more than 30 countries, including representatives of the banking sector, payment systems, IT companies and technology startups.

The main topics of the conference were open banking, biometric technologies, AI agents, digital payments, tokenization, embedded finance, cryptocurrencies, blockchain and AML regulation. Participants discussed how artificial intelligence and new financial technologies are changing the traditional banking market and approaches to financial management.

Chairman of the Board Mesrop Hakobyan stated that the financial sector is no longer just undergoing digitalization, but a full-fledged structural transformation, in which technology is becoming the main factor of competitiveness. Unibank also reminded that the bank was the first in Armenia to implement artificial intelligence systems for credit scoring when issuing unsecured loans.
