Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan announced that in the first half of 2026, the export of Armenian products to a number of key regions significantly increased. Compared to the same period last year, deliveries to China grew by 83.4%, to India by 81.3%, and to European Union countries by 80%.
At the same time, the country's overall foreign trade remains uneven. According to Armstat, in January–May 2026, the volume of foreign and mutual trade amounted to 7.864 billion dollars, which is 0.1% less than a year earlier. Exports during this period decreased by 3.7% to 2.865 billion dollars, while imports grew by 2.2% and reached 4.999 billion dollars.
Russia remains the largest export market for Armenia with a supply volume of 1.031 billion dollars, although exports to this country decreased by 3%. China ranks second, where goods worth 407.5 million dollars were exported, which is almost twice as much as a year earlier. Deliveries to EU countries reached 460.6 million dollars, and imports from the European Union grew by 25.9%. Among the largest suppliers of goods to Armenia, Russia, China, and Georgia lead.
