Armenian passport has slightly worsened its position in the international travel freedom ranking. In six months, the country lost several lines in the Henley Passport Index 2026 and lost one visa-free destination.
In the July update of the Henley Passport Index, Armenia took 73rd place, dropping two positions compared to the January ranking. According to the index, citizens of Armenia can visit 65 countries and territories without prior visa processing or obtain an entry permit upon arrival.
At the beginning of 2026, the Armenian passport occupied the 71st position, and the number of available destinations was 66. Thus, in six months, the country lost one visa-free destination and slightly worsened its position among other states.
Singapore remains the leader of the new ranking – its citizens have the opportunity to freely enter 192 countries and territories. The second place was shared by Japan, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates with access to 188 destinations, and the third position was taken by Sweden with an indicator of 187 countries.
The Henley Passport Index is compiled by Henley & Partners based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The ranking evaluates 199 passports and travel opportunities to 227 destinations worldwide.
