Armenia is laying a permanent export corridor to China: the infrastructure is already ready

The country expects to move from one-time deliveries to a stable presence of Armenian goods in the largest Asian market

Armenia is forming a permanent route for exporting its products to China, and the necessary infrastructure for this has already been created. This was stated by Sergey Avanesov, Chairman of the Foundation for Regional Development of Armenian-Chinese Relations.

A subsidiary of the Foundation, "Armenia China (Sichuan) Business Services Co., Ltd.", known as the "Armenian Trading House", operates in China. It has a representative office in Qingbaijiang, part of Chengdu, an Armenian pavilion and customs warehouses, as well as ready-made GACC certification procedures, logistics and customs clearance. The company's authorized capital is $120 million. In addition, cooperation has been established with Chinese banks, insurance and leasing organizations.

Avanesov noted that the foundation for the development of relations was laid after the meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Chinese President Xi Jinping in August 2025, when the parties signed a memorandum on strategic cooperation.

Now the Foundation intends to fill the agreements with practical mechanisms. The Chinese market for Armenian goods is still only forming, so companies that can gain positions in it now will gain an advantage in the future.

The main task is to create not a temporary supply scheme, but a full-fledged permanent export corridor. To do this, the "Armenian Trading House" is developing commercial ties and, together with its partner Promexpo, is preparing proposals for the Chinese market.

According to Avanesov, it is no longer just about a concept, but about a working mechanism that should simplify bilateral trade and make deliveries of Armenian products to China regular.
