More than $750 million has already been invested in the Amulsar gold mine in Armenia by the state and the private sector. In the long term, Lydian Armenia plans to allocate over $100 million for the development of the nearby communities of Jermuk, Vayk, and Sisian.

According to Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, up to $9 million can be allocated annually for these purposes. The funds are intended to be used, among other things, for the construction of roads and water pipelines. With the use of subvention co-financing mechanisms, the amount of funding can double.

The mine itself, according to the minister, should start operating in September. During the same period, the first gold bar is expected to be produced, and the enterprise will reach full production capacity.

The project is also capable of providing significant budget revenues: annual tax payments are estimated at more than $100 million. In addition, the state owns 12.5% of Lydian Armenia's shares, so it will receive a share of the profits from the enterprise's operations.

An agreement on community development has been concluded between the government, Lydian Armenia, and the three enlarged communities. According to the company, the document will be valid until the completion of the mine's operation.
