Gasoline novelty: Azerbaijani AI-95 appeared at Armenian gas stations

Armenian drivers have a chance to refuel cheaper: new Azerbaijani gasoline is sold at a price below the national average.

Since December 23, Azerbaijani AI-95 gasoline has been sold at Ran Oil gas stations in Armenia at a price of 430 drams ($1.13) per liter. The supply was organized by Mega Trade, which purchased 600 tons of fuel through a wholesale intermediary — direct import was not carried out, the name of the intermediary company is not disclosed.

According to the analytical resource Global Petrol Prices, the average cost of gasoline in Armenia is 520 drams ($1.37), which is higher than the world average price (493.58 drams).

Last year, Armenia imported about 490 thousand tons of gasoline and other fuels, of which about two-thirds came from Russia. Mega Trade ranks fourth among the country's largest fuel importers in terms of supply volume.

Currently, the average price of gasoline in Armenia is 520 drams ($1.37) per liter, which is higher than the global average cost of 493.58 drams, according to Global Petrol Prices analysts. The new batch of AI-95 from Azerbaijan may become a profitable alternative for drivers looking for cheaper gasoline.
