The Armenian government has launched a pilot program to support artificial intelligence, allowing developers to use high-performance Amazon Web Services (AWS) resources for free. The initiative is being implemented through the Virtual Artificial Intelligence Institute (AIVI) and is aimed at startups, research groups, universities, and individual specialists.
The state fully covers the costs of cloud capacity, solving one of the main problems of AI development — expensive servers and graphics processors. In addition to computing resources, participants will receive expert AWS support, and international partners Mistral AI and Plug and Play will help strengthen the innovative component of the project.
Registration will begin on December 29 on the ai.gov.am platform. The program is designed to accelerate the development of Armenia's AI ecosystem, reduce barriers for local teams, and help them enter the global artificial intelligence technology market.
