Armenia invites Supermicro to develop AI and technology in the country

The Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia discussed with Supermicro the prospects for investment and cooperation in the field of high technology

The Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, met with Supermicro Vice President Nancy Lee to discuss attracting foreign technology companies and developing AI support programs. Hayrapetyan spoke about government initiatives, seven-year support for job creation, investments in education and a program to promote R&D, as well as large-scale strategies for the development of artificial intelligence in the country.

Representatives of Supermicro presented the company's activities and investment policy, emphasizing opportunities for cooperation in AI and the potential of Armenia as a regional technology center. The parties discussed the expansion of Supermicro's activities in Armenia, the use of technology for science, cloud computing, and the introduction of high-performance infrastructure.

Supermicro is an American manufacturer of server equipment and IT infrastructure for AI, clouds, big data, and 5G. The company praised the country's opportunities for the development of innovative projects, including the creation of local data processing centers and joint scientific initiatives.
