Idram, a leading Armenian fintech company, has announced a strategic partnership with WeChat Pay. Now tourists and visitors from China will be able to pay for goods and services in Armenia by scanning Idram QR codes through the WeChat app. The integration will cover more than 26,000 retail locations and improve the convenience of cashless payments in the tourism and service sectors.
According to Idram Director Arsen KdenyAn, cooperation with international payment systems opens up new opportunities for businesses and tourists, and is also a strategic step toward the global integration of the Armenian fintech ecosystem. In the future, it is planned that Idram users will be able to make payments in China through WeChat QR codes, which will expand the platform's international functionality.
WeChat Pay representatives emphasized that this is the company's first key partnership in the Caucasus.
