Yerevan City Hall has announced the start of construction of the Isakov — Arshakunyats highway as early as this spring. The tender for the road's construction has been completed, and after a company for technical supervision is selected, the project will move into an active phase. The new highway will connect the Malatia-Sebastia, Kentron, and Shengavit districts, improving transport accessibility for city residents.
The project also provides for the construction of a 269-meter reinforced concrete bridge over the Hrazdan River and the reconstruction and landscaping of the area near Komitas Park. Special attention will be paid to beautification and improving the environmental sustainability of the adjacent areas.

The construction is being carried out as part of the urban development program with financial support from the Asian Development Bank, which has provided a loan of 60 million euros. The project is intended to ease traffic flows and improve travel comfort in the capital of Armenia.
