Turkish Airlines plans to launch regular flights between Istanbul and Yerevan starting March 11, 2026. This was announced following a meeting between representatives of the carrier and the head of the Tourism Committee of Armenia, Lusine Gevorgyan. The launch of the route is seen as an important step for the development of air traffic and tourist flows between the countries.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed not only the upcoming start of flights, but also broader prospects for cooperation. They discussed the possible expansion of the route network and the opening of new destinations in the near future, which may increase the attractiveness of Armenia for foreign tourists.

It is expected that direct air service between Istanbul and Yerevan will simplify travel for passengers, and will also become an additional incentive for the development of tourism and business contacts. The official schedule and frequency of flights will be announced closer to the launch date of the flights.
