Following an assessment visit by EU experts to the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia and a number of local airlines, no violations directly affecting flight safety were identified. This was reported by the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia.

However, the autumn 2025 audit recorded shortcomings in the area of supervision and certification, as well as incomplete implementation of the quality assurance system. The department emphasizes that these comments are not related to the problems identified in 2020.

Despite the absence of direct threats, Armenia still remains on the EU's list of restrictions. In 2020, the European Commission included Armenian airlines on the so-called "black list".

The Armenian side has already submitted a plan to eliminate the identified shortcomings. Some measures have been implemented, and the regulatory framework is being adjusted and the staffing is being expanded. After reviewing and approving the plan, the EU will determine the timing of a new inspection visit.
