Revenue in the communications sector of Armenia for January 2026 reached 13.8 billion drams, showing an increase of 2.8% compared to the same period last year. Such data is provided by the Statistical Committee of the Republic, noting that despite a decrease of 12.3% compared to December 2025, the industry demonstrates steady growth.
The leader in revenue remains telecommunications — 12.87 billion drams, an increase of 3% per year. The creation and broadcasting of television programs, on the contrary, showed a slight decline of 2.3%, amounting to 783 million drams, while radio broadcasts added 6.5%, earning 122.5 million drams.
Experts note that the trend of increasing revenues in the telecommunications segment reflects the growing demand for digital services and the stable development of the industry. At the same time, there is a gradual restructuring of the media market, where radio channels are strengthening their positions, and television broadcasting is experiencing an adjustment in revenue.
