Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia does not plan to postpone the implementation of the TRIPP project. He announced this while speaking in the European Parliament. According to him, the initiative corresponds to the short-term, medium-term, and long-term interests of the country and does not affect its territorial integrity or jurisdiction.

The head of government also noted that Armenia is already ready to provide road communication between the western regions of Azerbaijan and the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic through the existing road infrastructure. In particular, it concerns routes through Kornidzor, Goris, Yeghegnadzor, and Yeraskh.

The creation of the TRIPP project became known after the meeting between Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington in January. The initiative involves the development of a multimodal transport corridor through the territory of Armenia, connecting the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhichevan and integrating into the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.

To implement the project, it is planned to create the TRIPP Development Company, which may receive the right to develop infrastructure for a period of 49 years. It is assumed that the United States will offer 74% of the company's shares, while Armenia will retain 26%. With a possible extension of the agreement for another 50 years, the distribution of shares may change.
