Newspapers are a thing of the past: official notifications in Armenia will be completely transferred online

The transition to digital platforms should simplify access to information

Armenia is preparing to abandon the mandatory publication of official notices in the print media. This was announced by the Minister of Justice Surbui Galyan, presenting the corresponding bill in parliament. Instead of newspapers, all information will be posted on digital platforms, including the state portal azdarar.am and the websites of organizations.

According to the minister, the current rules were relevant in those days when print media remained the main channel for informing the public. However, with the development of technology and the increasing availability of the Internet, this format has lost its effectiveness and no longer meets modern requirements.

The transition to digital platforms should simplify access to information and speed up its dissemination. The authorities expect that this decision will make the notification system more convenient, transparent and economical for both the state and business.
