Central Bank of Armenia Stands Up for Crypto Market

Shortcomings of the law on crypto assets are being discussed

The head of the Central Bank of Armenia, Martin Galstyan, commented on the criticism from crypto market participants regarding the law "On Crypto Assets." According to him, the regulator is fully aware of the comments and actively interacts with the industry, organizing meetings between representatives of crypto companies and banks.

Market participants consider the law too narrow and incomplete, which hinders the industry's operation. As a reminder, the document came into force on July 4, 2025, and establishes rules for trading crypto assets, providing services, and supervising the market.

The Central Bank emphasizes that the mechanisms provided by the law are designed to allow only verified and transparent companies to enter the market, which should protect the rights of crypto asset buyers and increase confidence in the industry.
