Growing interest from foreign investors in government bonds has become a key factor in the revitalization of Armenia's capital market in the first quarter of 2026. This was stated by Anna Kazaryan, a representative of Sirius Capital, emphasizing that debt instruments remain the foundation of the local financial market.
According to her, in March, against the background of external factors, the market saw a slight increase in yields, although before that there had been a steady trend towards their decline for a long time. This indicates the sensitivity of the Armenian market to the global environment and capital flows.
One of the notable results of the quarter was a decrease in rates on government securities: the yield on five-year bonds at auction fell to 7.5% in drams, reaching the lowest values in recent years. Increased interest from foreign investors is expected to continue to support the market in the future.
