Armenia's foreign trade turnover in January–February 2026 increased by 9.3% and reached $3.06 billion. According to the Statistical Committee, a particularly noticeable jump occurred in February: the indicator increased by 30.8% year-on-year and by 37.1% compared to January. This marked a turnaround after the decline that was observed throughout 2025, when total turnover decreased by 29%.
Russia remains the country's main trading partner, despite a decrease in trade volume of 17.4% — to $822.5 million. At the same time, indicators for the countries of the European Union increased sharply: the total turnover increased by 61.6%, with Bulgaria, France, and Belgium showing multiple growth. China has established itself as one of the key partners with a volume of $454.5 million and a growth of 18.4%.
Other notable directions include the USA, where a growth of 35.3% was recorded, and Switzerland, which increased turnover by more than 2 times. At the same time, trade with the UAE decreased significantly — by almost 41%. In general, the structure of Armenia's foreign trade is becoming more diversified, despite the dominant role of Russia.
