Another group of Russian specialists who worked at the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant returned to their homeland in transit through Armenia. According to the Russian Embassy, 175 people crossed the border on April 6 through the "Nurdouz" - "Agarak" checkpoint, after which they were taken to Yerevan and sent by a special flight to Moscow.
The evacuation is being carried out against the backdrop of the escalating situation around Iran. The diplomatic mission noted that the operation was organized in coordination with Russian and Armenian services, which made it possible to quickly provide a safe route for the return of citizens.
Taking into account the latest group, the total number of Russians who have left Iran through the territory of Armenia has reached 509 people. We are talking mainly about specialists involved in the nuclear power plant project, as well as other citizens who decided to leave the region.
