The sphere of communication in Armenia continues to grow

Revenue for two months of 2026 exceeded 27 billion drams

In January-February 2026, the total revenue of the communications industry, including telecommunications and the creation of television and radio broadcasts, reached 27,369 million drams, which is 4.5% more than in the same period of 2025, reports the Statistical Committee of Armenia. The growth of the telecommunications segment is especially noted - 25,739.8 million drams, plus 4.8% compared to last year.

February showed revenue of 13,594.9 million drams, which is 6.2% higher than the figure for February 2025, but 1.3% less than the January result. At the same time, the production and broadcasting of television programs continues to experience a slight decline - minus 1.3%, and radio broadcasts increased by 2.1%, reaching 244.4 million drams.

Experts note that the steady growth of the telecommunications segment confirms the strengthening of infrastructure and demand for digital services, despite moderate fluctuations in the media sector. Converting drams to dollars at the rate of $1 = 376.32 drams, revenue for two months is approximately 72.7 million dollars.
