A Sports Village to Be Built in Armenia for 20.9 Billion AMD: Project Designed for 5 Years

The complex will be able to accommodate up to 6,000 people

In Armenia, an investment program for the construction of the Pan-Armenian Games Sports Village, worth about 20.9 billion AMD (approximately $55.6 million), has been approved. The decision was made by the government, and the project is planned to be implemented in the community of Jrvezh in the Kotayk region.

A land plot of 23.3 hectares has been transferred to the public organization "World Committee of the Pan-Armenian Games" for use for 50 years. According to Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, the project is expected to be financed by donations from Armenian philanthropists, and construction will take about 5 years.

The future complex will be designed to accommodate up to 6,000 people and will become a multifunctional platform: it is planned to be used not only during the Pan-Armenian Games, but also for youth programs, student initiatives and events with the participation of the diaspora. The project will create about 1,240 jobs, plant about 20,000 trees and implement environmental solutions.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stressed that in recent years there has been an increase in investment from the diaspora, and called for more active participation in the implementation of such initiatives.
