Armenian TUMO expands to South America: Future technologies center opens in Uruguay

A new site has launched in Montevideo, already being called one of the region's most ambitious educational investments

The TUMO network of educational centers has launched its first branch in Uruguay — it opened in the country's capital, Montevideo, with the participation of President Yamandú Orsi and members of the government. The new center is located near Carrasco Airport and was implemented with the support of Aeropuertos Uruguay and Corporación América Airports in partnership with the Ceibal educational platform.

The first 1000 teenagers aged 12 to 18 will begin their studies in April. The program includes robotics, animation, 3D modeling, music, film, generative AI, game development, and programming, combining self-study, practice, and work with mentors.

By 2026, the center plans to reach up to 1,500 students weekly, strengthening the global TUMO network, which already operates in more than ten countries. The project is supported by international partners, including Google, and the total audience of the network exceeds 35,000 active students worldwide.
