The Central Bank of Armenia temporarily disabled its website and the centralized register of bank accounts — the resources were unavailable for about 4 hours on the evening of April 14. According to the regulator, the restrictions were in effect from 19:00 to 23:00 and were related to scheduled maintenance of information systems.
During the work, users may have experienced interruptions in services tied to the registry data. In particular, the electronic system for submitting applications for income tax refunds on mortgage interest, as well as the service for refunding the stamp duty of the National Fund for Insurance of Servicemen, did not function.
In addition, there were restrictions in the bank account verification system used by insurers in the CTP insurance segment. After the completion of technical work, access to resources was restored, but the regulator warned in advance about possible temporary inconveniences.
