The National Assembly of Armenia has adopted amendments that transfer official notifications entirely to digital format. The law abolishes the mandatory publication of such messages in print media, replacing it with placement on specialized online platforms.
As explained by Minister of Justice Surbuhi Galyan, the key channel will now be the website azdarar.am, as well as the resources of the departments themselves. Previously, publications in newspapers were considered necessary to inform citizens, but with the development of technology, this format has lost its effectiveness.
Authorities believe that the transition to digital solutions will increase the accessibility of information and accelerate its dissemination. The new rules should also simplify administrative procedures and reduce the costs associated with mandatory publications in print media.
