On May 4-5, Yerevan will host the first full-fledged summit between Armenia and the European Union. It will be attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President António Costa, and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas. The event is seen as an important step in the development of bilateral relations and a demonstration of European support for Armenia's sovereignty and reforms.

The talks are expected to address deepening cooperation in the economy, energy, transport, digital sphere, and security. Special attention will be paid to launching joint initiatives for the development of transport and energy infrastructure, attracting European investments, and cooperation in the defense sector. In addition, an agreement between Frontex and the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs is expected to be signed.

Following the summit, the leaders will hold a joint press conference. This meeting is expected to solidify a new level of relations between Armenia and the EU and define directions for further partnership.
