Yerevan Becomes Fintech Hub: AI, Cryptocurrencies, and Digital Banks Discussed at FINTECH360

Around 500 participants from over 30 countries attended the international FINTECH360 conference

The international FINTECH360 conference, supported by Unibank, was held in Yerevan. The event gathered around 500 participants from over 30 countries, including representatives from the banking sector, payment systems, IT companies, and technology startups.

The main topics of the conference included open banking, biometric technologies, AI agents, digital payments, tokenization, embedded finance, cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and AML regulation. Participants discussed how artificial intelligence and new financial technologies are changing the traditional banking market and approaches to financial management.

Mesrop Hakobyan, Chairman of the Board, stated that the financial sector is no longer just undergoing digitalization, but a full-fledged structural transformation, where technology is becoming the main factor of competitiveness. Unibank also reminded that it was the first bank in Armenia to implement artificial intelligence systems for credit scoring when issuing unsecured loans.
