In mid-June, earthworks will begin in Yerevan for the construction of a new road connecting Isakov and Arshakunyats avenues. The project is being implemented as part of an Asian Development Bank program and is estimated to cost approximately $80 million. In addition to the highway itself, the plan includes the construction of a 269-meter bridge over the Hrazdan River, as well as the reconstruction and landscaping of the area near Komitas Park.

The new transport artery is intended to connect the Malatia-Sebastia, Center, and Shengavit districts, significantly relieving congested sections of the street network. According to the project's design, this will allow for the redistribution of traffic flows and reduce travel time within the city. Special attention is being paid to the greening of adjacent areas and the renewal of the urban environment along the route.

Initially, construction was planned to start in 2023, but deadlines were shifted due to land acquisition and resettlement procedures. Now, the project is entering its practical implementation phase and is becoming one of the key infrastructure initiatives for the capital in the coming years.
