In Armenia, the cashback program for cashless purchases among pensioners and benefit recipients continues to expand rapidly. According to Arsen Torosyan, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, by April 2026, 531,000 people were already using it, whereas at the beginning of the year there were about 400,000.

Thus, in a few months, the number of participants increased by approximately 130,000. The Minister noted that at the same time, the average amount of cashback also increased – from 4,000 to 8,000 drams per month.

According to Torosyan, this has effectively led to an increase in pensioners' incomes: the total effect is estimated to be in the range of up to 18–20 thousand drams per month, including cashback. The program, he said, stimulates the transition to cashless payments and increases the financial activity of the population.
