Armenia plans to update the provisions of the Tax Code governing the automatic exchange of financial account information between countries. The initiative was prepared by the State Revenue Committee and aims to bring legislation into line with international standards of tax transparency.

The changes were presented by SRC Deputy Chairman Rafael Gevorkyan at a meeting of the relevant commission of the National Assembly. According to the agency, the need for adjustments arose after the country conducted its first automatic exchange of financial data with foreign partners in September 2025.

Practice has shown that the current norms require clarification and more precise application mechanisms. The reform also considers the introduction of new penalty measures, which should increase the effectiveness of control and reduce the risks of violations in the field of financial reporting.
