The Cyber Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia has warned citizens about a new wave of fraudulent SMS messages, allegedly sent on behalf of state structures. The messages come from foreign numbers and may contain calls to perform various actions, mimicking official notifications.
According to the agency, attackers disguise themselves as the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other government bodies, exploiting citizens' trust in official sources. The Cyber Police emphasized that such messages are not related to state structures and are an attempt to deceive.
Citizens are advised to ignore such SMS messages and not to follow any links provided in them, nor to perform any instructions from such messages.
