Armenia is preparing for the large-scale implementation of the educational platform ChatGPT Edu.

The service is planned to be launched in schools and universities across the country starting from the 2026–2027 academic year as part of a joint initiative by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia, Firebird company, and OpenAI.

The cooperation agreement was signed in Yerevan with the participation of Minister Zhanna Andreasyan and Firebird co-founder Alexander Yesayan. OpenAI representative Jayne Devane also participated remotely in the project.

In the first phase, the program will cover approximately 50,000 educational subscriptions, including high school grades and all universities in the country, and teachers will undergo special training to work with AI tools.

The project's initial funding is estimated at approximately $700,000 from Firebird, with further program development planned to be supported by the state.

Armenian authorities expect that the integration of AI into the education system will enhance digital literacy and prepare a new generation of specialists for a technology-driven economy focused on artificial intelligence.
