Armenia is considering the prospects for developing electricity storage technologies.

This issue became the topic of negotiations between the head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, Mesrop Mesropyan, and representatives of the Armenian office of the Swiss organization Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation.

The parties emphasized the importance of implementing energy storage systems to enhance the stability of the power system. Such solutions help smooth out load fluctuations, more efficiently utilize generation, and ensure stable energy supply amidst growing consumption and infrastructure limitations.

Separately, directions for cooperation in the energy sector, as well as institutional development and experience exchange, were discussed. The meeting participants expressed their readiness to continue interaction and consider the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding in the future, which could be a step towards the development of new energy projects in the country.
