A large-scale scheme involving unlicensed online gaming platforms has been uncovered in Yerevan. According to the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, the damages from their activities are estimated at approximately 2.4 billion drams. Joint teams from the State Revenue Committee and the National Security Service participated in the investigation.
The investigation established that hundreds of people were involved in the network's operations, and financial flows passed through numerous transactions, including transfers using cryptocurrency wallets. This allowed the organizers to conceal the real volumes of turnover and complicate the tracking of operations.
During operational activities in various districts of Yerevan, working offices with hundreds of employees, computer equipment, servers, mobile phones, a large number of SIM cards, video recording equipment, as well as a significant array of electronic and paper materials, which are currently being studied by the investigation, were discovered.
