Ameriabank and the OPEC Fund for International Development have signed a loan agreement for $50 million. The deal was formalized in Vienna as part of the "Development Forum 2026," dedicated to the fund's 50th anniversary.

The attracted financing will be used to support small and medium-sized businesses in Armenia. The program is expected to enable companies to access additional resources for development, expansion of activities, and creation of new jobs.

The agreement was signed by Ameriabank representative Ara Sargsyan and OPEC Fund President Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa. The bank noted that supporting SMEs remains one of the key strategic directions, and the new financing will strengthen lending opportunities for this segment of the economy.

Cooperation between the OPEC Fund for International Development and Ameriabank has been ongoing since 2015. During this time, the total volume of agreements has reached $125 million, with funds directed towards financing enterprises in various sectors, including manufacturing, food industry, trade, and hospitality.
