Yerevan authorities are ready to begin construction of a new overpass in the Noragavit district, but up to 400 million drams need to be allocated to start work in 2026. The total cost of the project is estimated at approximately 1.3 billion drams.

The future interchange will connect the Artashat Highway, which is part of the M2 "North-South" international highway, with the H-8 road and Noragavit's 1st Street. This is expected to improve the transport accessibility of the area and increase the capacity of the road network.

According to Aneta Babayan, head of the Yerevan Urban Development PIU institution, the tender procedures have already been completed. Contractors for the construction and technical supervision of the facility have been identified. One of the contracts has already been signed, and the second is in the final stages of execution.

Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan stated that immediately after the necessary funds are allocated and all agreements are signed, the construction of the overpass can begin without further delays.
