Armenia has received 56 Starlink satellite terminals designed to provide reliable communication during emergencies. The equipment has already been delivered to the country and will be transferred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for use by the Rescue Service.
The terminals are planned for use in search and rescue operations, disaster relief, and other crisis situations. Additionally, Starlink satellite communication will help maintain communications when traditional telecommunication infrastructure is damaged, overloaded, or completely unavailable.
The use of satellite terminals will allow rescue units to maintain operational communication even in remote areas without mobile network coverage. This is especially important during major accidents and natural disasters, when stable data transmission can directly affect the response speed of emergency services.
