Firebird AI has entered the list of Armenia's 1000 largest taxpayers for the first time. In the first six months of 2026, it transferred hundreds of millions of drams to the budget, which is attributed to the implementation of one of the largest projects to create artificial intelligence infrastructure in the region.

According to Modex, in the first half of 2026, 72 IT companies were included in the ranking of the largest taxpayers. In total, they transferred 61 billion drams to the state budget, which corresponds to approximately 4% of all tax revenues administered by the State Revenue Committee of Armenia.

Firebird AI debuted on this list, paying 823 million drams in taxes from January to June. The company is developing a large-scale AI infrastructure in Armenia, which is considered one of the largest such initiatives in the region. This allowed it to immediately become one of the country's largest taxpayers.

At the same time, the situation in the industry remains uneven. Eight of the twenty largest IT companies by tax payments saw a decrease in income tax revenues. The most significant decline during the reporting period was recorded by Arctera AM.
