Decisions directly at the entry and exit points of the TRIPP route will be made by the Republic of Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated on September 17 during a government hour in the National Assembly. He was responding to a deputy's question about the statement by the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, who had previously said that entry and exit to the section passing through Armenian territory would be carried out from Azerbaijan.

Pashinyan explained that, from a geographical point of view, TRIPP connects the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan through the territory of Armenia. Therefore, both entrances and both exits of the route will indeed be connected to Azerbaijan. At the same time, the Prime Minister emphasized, the project itself is being implemented within Armenian jurisdiction and with the preservation of the country's territorial integrity.

To a direct clarifying question about who exactly will make decisions directly at the entry and exit points, Pashinyan replied: "The Republic of Armenia, I say specifically." TRIPP envisages the creation of a multimodal transit route between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. According to the framework agreement between Armenia and the United States, Yerevan retains sovereignty, territorial integrity, and jurisdiction over the project implementation zones on its territory.
