The Firebird Build hackathon took place in Yerevan on September 26–27, where engineers and researchers developed product prototypes using artificial intelligence technologies. The event was held at the AI9 Startup Campus with the participation of OpenAI, NVIDIA, Picsart, UATE, AI9, and YerevaNN.

For 24 hours, teams worked with OpenAI Codex and received support from technology mentors. In total, the organizers received more than 500 applications, and among the participants was a team from Georgia. The presented projects covered robotics, healthcare, environmental technologies, cybersecurity, and other areas.

The total prize fund was $105K, of which $80K was for cash prizes, and another $25K for OpenAI API credits. First place went to the PhotonicsAI team with an AI-based equipment control system, receiving $50K and $12K in API credits.

Second place went to the project “Why isn’t there an Ollama for VLAs?” with an infrastructure for training VLA models used in robotics. The team received $20K and $8K in credits. Third place was taken by EXPM with an autonomous AI platform for finding vulnerabilities and verifying solutions for their elimination — $10K and $5K in API credits.
