Representatives of relevant structures of Armenia and Azerbaijan held a meeting in the city of Goris, where they discussed technical issues of power line placement within the framework of the TRIPP project. As reported by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, the participants exchanged views on relevant issues, paying special attention to interdepartmental cooperation and further steps to advance the work.
The TRIPP project, whose name stands for “Trump’s Route for International Peace and Prosperity,” provides for the creation of multimodal transit infrastructure on the territory of Armenia. At the same time, the republic will retain full sovereignty over the facilities located on its territory.

The initiative should provide transport links between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as expand regional routes between Central Asia, the Caspian region and Europe.
In June 2026, Armenia and the United States signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation on the project. To implement it, a joint Armenian-American company TRIPP Development Company was created.
