The average nominal salary in Armenia for January–July 2026 was 312.2 thousand drams, an increase of 5.5%. However, the level of remuneration varies significantly depending on the field of activity: the maximum indicator exceeded 1 million drams, while in some industries the average earnings do not reach 160 thousand drams.

The leader in salaries was the information and communication sector, including IT, where the average salary was 1.022 million drams. Finance and insurance came in second with 917.2 thousand drams, and mining was third, with an average salary of 636.5 thousand drams.

At the opposite end of the ranking are other services with an average salary of 157.4 thousand drams, hospitality and catering – 159.5 thousand, and education – 178.9 thousand drams. Thus, the difference between the highest and lowest paid areas reaches approximately 6.5 times. At the same time, in 11 out of 19 considered industries, the average earnings remain below 300 thousand drams.
