The government of Armenia will allocate 957.8 million drams (about $2.61 million) for the purchase of high-performance computing resources from Firebird AI. The decision was made within the framework of a five-year agreement with a total value of $25 million, concluded for the development of artificial intelligence infrastructure in the country.

The allocated funds will be directed to the implementation of the AI resource acquisition program as part of state support for the technological sector. The obtained computing power is planned to be used for government agencies, universities, scientific organizations, research groups, and technological startups.

The agreement between the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia and Firebird AI was signed in April 2026. The project provides for the creation of a modern data processing center for artificial intelligence tasks in Hrazdan, which will be built on the basis of NVIDIA technologies.

The new infrastructure should provide Armenian developers and researchers with access to powerful computing systems necessary for training AI models, conducting scientific research, and creating new technological solutions.
