Armenia and Iran discussed the implementation of the project to build a second bridge over the Aras River, which separates the two countries. Negotiations took place in Yerevan between the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia Kristine Ghalechyan and a delegation led by the Ambassador of Iran to Armenia Khalil Shirgholami.
The parties reviewed the progress of joint infrastructure projects and emphasized the importance of further developing cross-border transport infrastructure. Special attention was paid to the initiative to create a new bridge over the Aras River on the Armenian-Iranian state border.
Other details of the project, including construction timelines, cost, and technical parameters of the future facility, were not disclosed after the meeting.
