Fiber Optic Lines, Rail and Road Routes. Armenia and the USA are Moving to the Practical Phase of the Large-Scale Transport Corridor "Trump Route"

The infrastructure will be developed by the TRIPP Company joint venture

Armenia and the United States have intensified negotiations on the implementation of the project for the development of the regional transport network "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP). This was announced by the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, in a speech to the German Council on Foreign Relations, noting that the project is entering the stage of practical implementation.

An Armenian-American joint venture, TRIPP Company, is being created to manage and build the infrastructure, which will be registered in Armenia. The company will be entitled to develop railway and road routes, as well as oil and gas pipelines and fiber optic communication lines. According to Pashinyan, the transition to construction work is scheduled for next year.

The Prime Minister stressed that TRIPP is fully consistent with the national initiative "Crossroads of Peace", aimed at strengthening connectivity in the region. The implementation of the project should create new interdependencies between countries and become an additional factor for sustainable peace. In particular, TRIPP is seen as a possible element of the Middle Corridor - a transport route between Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

The "Trump Route" project is enshrined in a trilateral declaration signed on August 8 in Washington by the leaders of Armenia, the United States and Azerbaijan. Yerevan hopes that it will become one of the key links in the new regional architecture of transport links.
