The Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia has approved the investment program of CJSC "Gazprom Armenia" for 2026–2030. The total investment will amount to almost 150.35 billion drams, excluding VAT. The decision was made at the PSRC meeting on December 17 and covers key areas of development of the country's gas infrastructure.
The largest expenditure items are related to the expansion of the Abovyan underground gas storage facility, for which 20.36 billion drams are planned, as well as the reconstruction and development of the gas transmission system — 50.36 billion drams are allocated for these purposes. More than 59 billion drams will be allocated to work in the gas distribution system, almost 4.8 billion drams to connect new subscribers, and 3.56 billion drams to provide additional gas supply capacity to Yerevan.
"Gazprom Armenia" is a 100% subsidiary of the Russian holding company "Gazprom" and remains the sole supplier of natural gas from Russia for the domestic market of the republic. Gas is supplied in transit through Georgia, and the price at the Armenian border is $165 per 1000 cubic meters. In addition to imports, the company is responsible for the transportation, storage, distribution of gas and the development of the entire gas infrastructure of the country.
